New York New York
I've been wanting to go to New York for the longest time. I've never been to America so New York is a first time for me. Funny thing is that I lacked alot of sleep the morning we were planning on leaving because I had work till 8:30pm on Thursday and we left at around 3:00am. Good for JP he falls asleep quick and can fall asleep anywhere so he had a good amount of sleep before driving. It took about 9-10hrs and stopped I think about 1 or 2 times. The drive there was beautiful!
We didn't end up staying in New York New York because hotels were still really expensive but we did stay in New Jersey. We got to our hotel at 11:30am on Friday and the first thing we had was Chipotle and DUNKIN' DONUTS!!!! I definitely fell in love with the iced coffee with hazelnut shot, their size large is HUGE!! I don't even think we can get drinks like that here in Toronto.
Although 3 days wasn't really enough, I enjoyed it. I am going to tell you that if you can try to avoid driving around the city that would be great! It's hectic, you see people j-walking all the time because of the traffic. Luckily the times we parked it was free and that's when we had time to walk around and take the subway. We visited the Empire State Building, Rockefeller Building & Centre, Brooklyn Bridge, Flight Club and even waited in line to get into the supreme store. I'd love to go back and check out the places I've missed out on and the food I haven't tried yet!
