Saint Mark's Clocktower & Saint Mark Basillica

Saint Mark's Clocktower

Lista di Spagna, Cannaregio 227 30121 Venezia, Italia

One of the places I always wanted to see was Venice, Italy Venezia. My boyfriend and I were there for 2 nights & 2 days during Valentine's day weekend! We stayed at Amadeus Hotel closer to the train station because we didn't want to get lost. We arrived in the evening and had time to eat out for dinner and walk around but during this time of the month not a lot of tourists go there to visit. We unfortunately missed out on the carnival of masks which takes place in February every year due to lack of planning but we always have next time! The first day we got lost walking around looking for Piazza San Marco but we stopped to look at mini shops, churches, galleries and rode a gondola for 80 EUR each I think...I don't remember! Might I just add that being lost in a place you're not familiar with is pretty scary to think at first but you end up getting pulled away from all the tourists spots and really get to focus on the real italian culture/experience. When we finally got there, we weren't allowed to take pictures or take any videos inside of the church but I ended up doing that which is for myself so I won't post it here. Saint Mark's Basillica also had a balcony where you could look out into and the view was amazing!! The Adriatic Sea was on my left, San Marco Campanile and Piazza San Marco in front of me and Sain't Mark's Clocktower to my right! BEAUTIFUL. The next morning my boyfriend decides to get Jordan 4 Cements because they were releasing on the same day we were leaving and he was the first in line out of 4 or 5 people in total at 5am! We ended up going back to our hotel and decided we should buy another pair to bring back to Rome for my Jordan fanatic cousin!
